Lighthouse Flag Compass is not just a set of songs. It will be the midpoint of a journey and a direction setting for the future. An organic process to develop a style, a calling card and an artistic point of view.
Forged as part of my MA in Creative Practice, the final set of songs or pieces will be selected from a year’s worth of creativity when released in the middle of 2024.
Lighthouse Flag Compass is born from a need for change and new direction. Each piece is inspired by a physical place or experience - from the singing lakes of Sweden to the bridges of Porto, to the wet streets and cafes of Paris.
Willfully eclectic, the album will embrace my love of skittering beats, organic synthesis and lyrical guitars with a side order of emotional orchestration and ambient soundscaping.
