Semiphore is the online home of composer Graeme Worsfold.
Built to host all my music adventures - from audio experiments and re-envisioned soundtracks for movies and trailers, to new tracks for my album ‘Lighthouse Flag Compass’ due summer 2024 - including the single ‘Cranberry’ as featured on BBC Music Introducing.
Semiphore will grow in all sorts of directions during 2024, as I undertake an MA in Creative Practice.
It may get loud.
Why Semiphore?
The original term ‘Semaphore’ comes from the Ancient Greek term meaning ‘apparatus for signalling’
Music is the greatest form of communication. It crosses boundaries and language limitations. However, it’s consistently a work in progress and never perfected. Always ‘semi-finished’
Semiphore reflects this, and my own, reality - constant new music, demos and experiments whilst helping chart direction and course.
